Bagaholicboy News #72 - Welcome To Reebonz!

Reebonz (pronounced ribbon) is Singapore's latest online offering to bagging yourself great deals. Offering mind-blowing discounts on a range of selected designer merchandise from brands like Givenchy to Gucci to Miu Miu, each 'event' is brief, lasting for 2 to 3 days at most and once it is over, it's gone for good.

It's also a by-invitation only online portal, but fret not because I've got your ticket to great savings. Just enter HOLIC into the invitation code box to sign up for your exclusive membership, it's that easy! Coming up includes one for Miu Miu (up to 30% off) which starts on 12 March 2009, while the one for Givenchy and Gucci starts on 16 March 2009, so what are you waiting for?

Are we sure that this website is reliable and sell genuine goods only?

Hi Sheryl, here is the reply from Benjamin from Reebonz and I hope it answers your query.

'Rebonz deals directly with brand owners and authorized resellers. All products are genuine. In case of any queries, we have an office in Singapore located at Clifford Centre. And we can also be contacted at 6517-4950 during office hours.'

Thanks for the invite! Just checked out the Miu Miu sale but was rather disappointed, it's still more expensive than Net-A-Porter for the same bags, even with tax and shipping included.

As an example:
Green Soft Leather Tote - SGD1800.00 on Reebonz
Miu Miu Soft Leather Tote - GBP687.76 = SGD1460.00 (inclusive of tax and shipping to Singapore)

Hope the Givenchy and Gucci one will be better though. :)

Good comment! I guess with time and feedback prices may get adjusted according to demand and supply. Let's see how it goes...

I, too, was curious about authenticity.
In the fine print, it says, "THE SITE, ITS CONTENT AND ALL TEXT, IMAGES, MERCHANDISE AND OTHER INFORMATION ON, ACCESSIBLE FROM OR AVAILABLE THROUGH THIS SITE ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS AVAILABLE" AND "AS IS" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT."

So, not of merchantable quality is OK? I'm not familiar with Singapore trade law, but goods must be of "merchantable quality" under the Australian trade practices act.

What's more concerning is that it does not guarantee non-infringement. Does that sound to anyone else like they might sell copies that infringe on other brands?
