SINGAPORE: Shop in style on wheels. If you are a fan of luxury items like Louis Vuitton, Kate Spade or Fendi - you can now grab them without even having to head to the stores.

The Reebonz Mobil, a S$120,000, 40-foot container truck, acts as a luxury boutique. Based in Singapore, Reebonz is a members-only online shopping site where luxury goods can be bought at substantial discounts.

It will make stops three times a week at Raffles Place, City Hall and Tanjong Pagar; and also at shopping belts at Orchard Road, Bugis, Dhoby Ghaut, HarbourFront, Marina Bay and Novena.

This brand new shopping experience is the first of its kind in Singapore and Asia Pacific. There are plans to extend this shopping convenience to Malaysia and Thailand by the end of this year.

Buyers can choose from an array of branded items like bags, wallets and belts at discounts ranging from 15 to 50 per cent.

The concept was mooted some nine months ago.

Samuel Lim, founder and CEO of Reebonz Group, said: "Whether you are in office or in an area that doesn't have retail shops, (the Reebonz Mobil) will create a lot of surprise and excitement, (for consumers) to then look at the luxury items that we have on sale and come and grab something and buy something offhand."
